Better News

No, I'm not pregnant yet, but here's the better news:
1. Only three more tests and then we're done! And... only one of them is on me! Woohoo!
2. The MTHFR mutation shouldn't mean that I need blood thinners. Just a possible vitamin problem that is pretty easily taken care of with extra folic acid.
3. No thyroid problem - the first test was just a fluke!

I ovulated on Wednesday and it was painful. Here's to hoping that means I ovulated more than once. Although not too many times... I am a pretty small person after all.

Praying like CRA-ZAY for you girl!!! It's my solemn prayer that you are a Mommy by the end of 2010! And hey, if you got pregnant around this time, Keevia and your baby would be very close, hehe!

1. Yea for only one more test left! :)
2. Bring on the broccoli and spinach! Yea folic acid! (Luckily for us women of childbearing age, there's a tastier option-- cereal-- for a food source of folic acid, too :) )
3. Yea for a functional thyroid! :)

Thanks for keeping us updated!

I've got a really dumb question...mostly because I'm ignorant on most things in the reproductive system...
Why was the ovulation painful? Is it to do with your condition? Or do people usually feel it, and I just have no idea?

This is Steph, btw...I'm full of hope for you!

Steph- About 20% of women have a painful ovulation (some women every cycle and some just intermittently) and it is called mittelschmerz (for "middle pain" or pain that occurs in the middle of the month). I don't think they know what causes some ovulations to hurt and others not to, but they do say that when someone is on Clomid or another ovarian stimulating drug that it tends to hurt more frequently and worse (probably because you are ovulating more than once).

Thinking & praying for you, I know you are now pregnant (with twins...YAY) and have endured this tough journey. I cannot help but have hope when I continue to read you blog. I am still waiting for my lovely blood work to come back, and MTHFR was on the list. Ready to know which clotting disorder I have that makes me take lovenox when pregnant and probably has caused the end of my pregnancies. Waiting for cycle to start back up and be able to try again.

Thank you for blessing many with your blog! :-)
