7w, 0d: Belly picture

I promise I'll write more tomorrow. Actually, I shouldn't promise because who knows what work will be like, but I will try my hardest! We had a "fake" holiday today (Patriot's Day... only Massachusetts celebrates it), so no work today (and thus no blogging).

Week 7 symptoms: nausea (check), tender breasts (check), eating my weight in food each day (check)

Here's my 7 week belly pic:

6w, 0d: We have a lentil bean!

Hooray for my little lentil bean. I haven't gotten my hCG levels from this morning from the doctor yet, but since she didn't call earlier, I think the news is probably fine. She'll probably send me a message tomorrow with the exact number.

For now, here's my week 6 belly pic:

I just realized that I wore the same outfit today as last Monday... hehe. But you can tell how awfully bloated I am right now!

5w, 0d: Baby Jellyfish is growing!

My baby looks a little bit scary this week, according to Babycenter:

Yikes, what the heck is that supposed to be? A jellyfish? Hopefully Baby Jellyfish is still doing well and growing big and strong!

I went in this morning at 8:30 for my blood draw and there were three little old ladies waiting there already. They opened right when I walked up, but I had to wait for the three of them to have their blood drawn before I got to go. So I was gone from work for a slightly noticeable 30 minutes... Thankfully almost everyone is out sick today so nobody noticed! I got my blood taken around 8:50, so if they stick to the same processing time as on Friday, I should hear back around 12:30. I'll keep you posted!

UPDATE @ 3:15 pm:
No call yet. Grr. Actually, thinking back to this morning, I don't remember seeing a "STAT" sticker, like there was last Wednesday and Friday - maybe that means I won't get the results today? (I don't know what their normal processing time is.) Ugh, that would be kinda annoying.

UPDATE @ 4:35 pm: My quant hCG went up to 445 and since I've stopped spotting, that is a great sign that I'm not miscarrying at this point. I'm going back in Wednesday and Friday for more quants and the nurse is going to schedule my ultrasound for sometime between April 15 and 17, since I should have reached at least 6500 by then. Woohoo!

Updated to include week 5 belly picture!

4w, 0d: Happy two week birthday, little one!

Dear Baby,

You are two weeks old already! Wow! Keep growing big and strong for mommy.

I know that you are a blessing straight from God because according the wisdom of men you shouldn't exist. I told God two weeks ago that if I conceived this month, it would only be through His power - and here you are. What a great God we serve!

I love you. I'm already talking to you all the time, even though I know you don't really have the ability to hear me yet. I can't wait until you are that old!

Love,
Mommy

Since my temperature was down yesterday morning (to 98.17 from 98.40 the prior days), I was up from 5 am on worrying about the possible implications. Of course, I haven't spotted at all, so I don't think the pregnancy is ending (at least not yet), but it was still worrisome in any case. I was very anxious last night thinking about what my temperature would be this morning. While I was in the shower, I felt like God told me not to temp any more, but just to trust Him. Really, temping can't do anything for me now but to give me more reason to worry or distrust God, so I am listening and did not temp this morning! God, only you can sustain this baby, just as you were the one to breathe the breath of life into him or her. May you continue to take care of our little one, as only you can!

8w, 1d: Morning (all day) sickness

Feeling so bleh now. The morning sickness is really starting to hit me. When I even *think* about something gross, I dry heave. Thankfully, no throwing up has occurred yet. Sorry if that's TMI (too much information)! My scarf just barely being tied around my neck also makes me a bit sick. Even thinking about my scarf being around my neck is making me sick. Oh my.

4w, 1d: a conclusive BFP!

Well, it's conclusive! A BIG FAT POSITIVE!

My poor husband was so worried about his reaction this morning... He's not outwardly very emotional and was trying to go further than he normally would have to show me that he was excited. (I think we saw an Everybody Loves Raymond about this the other night, and it stressed him out a bit. :-P) It was pretty funny... The poor thing was up until 2 studying and I woke him up at 5:30 saying, "I can't hold it any longer!" So I think he was mostly asleep and stressed about his test. But he tried. He said something along the lines of, "That's wonderful! I'm so happy!" but in a super sleepy tone... And I jumped up and down as he watched me and laughed...

Here is my "baseline" picture of my (already) bloated belly:

Please note the pants, which are already unbuttoned and on the last notch of the built-in belt!

I called and made my appointments after lunch today: I get to see a nurse two weeks from today, on Oct. 29, and I think that's to confirm the pregnancy and ask family history questions, and then I see a midwife on Nov. 10 for my first ultrasound! I'm so excited!!!
